But alas DIgi has abondon the MBox and ProTools is not officialy compatible with Win7 (beta drivers only) so I moved on. Now I did get PT LE 8.01/ MBox running via the DigiASIO and BIAB/RB via MME running on the same machine at the same time!! This was on the new Win7 and the i7 Dell. Nothing both those famous PT errors when trying to record. What version of ProTools are you running? Or maybe its a MBox2 thing, but I long ago stopped tying to get the MBox"1" with PT LE 8.01 (and the ASIO drivers which comes with that version) working with BIAB/RB. OK, are you saying you have both playback and recording via the MBox 2 with BIAB/RB? And this is ".Very small amount of latency, and great sound"? The problem was coming up when I tried to run both at the same time.

The mbox also works great with pro tools which it should as it is designed for pro tools. I'm running the roland dxi that came with biab as the sound engine. Very small amount of latency, and great sound. Fact is I can find plenty of plug ins to play with that biab will use so I problerly need to move on.ġ've gotten the mbox 2 running with biab and real band with NO problem. Done all of that so I guess I should be happy. I figured I would get it so I would be a step ahead with being able to do homework at home and remove the sounds a clicks from my playback with biab and my controller. The main reason I purchased the mbox was that I will be taking a class in the fall on computerized music technology and it uses pro tools. The question now is whether there is a conversion utility to change them into vst or dxi compatable plugins and so far I am finding nothing.
As you say they are a digidesign thing only. The pro tools came with a couple of neat plugins that I would have loved to be able to play along in real time with biab.
